About the Artist

Millie Greene was born in New York. She is a long time resident of California and is residing in Santa Monica.

Oil painter of many subjects, she is well known for her vibrant florals and still-life, portrait and Figure and also her beach scenes.  Millie is the recipient of many awards, and is called on to judge numerous art shows.

Millie has been in group shows at the Pasadena Art Museum, Brand Library, Pacific Palisades Library, Mitchel Museum in Colorado, California Museum of Fine Art, Huntington Museum, Los Angeles Art Show at the Convention Center. and numerous art galleries. She was viewed in the Veranda Magazine and the Butterfield Auction catalog. 
Currently in a new book Emerging From the Shadows, a survey of women artist working in California by Maurine St. Gardens.

Millie's work has been shown at the New Masters Gallery in Carmel and MGM Grand in Las Vegas. She was also with Dassin Gallery at the Pacific Design Center for many years. Millie is an artist member of the California Art Club and Oil Painters of Americ

Former scholarship student and personal secretary of the late Sergei Bongart "famous Russian impressionist" Millie now teaches the Bongart method in Santa Monica.

Millie also studied with master artists, Max Turner, Hal Reed and Peter Liashkov, instructor at the Art Center School of Design, UCLA, and Otis Art Institute.
